Our founder, Chef Meena, hails from Chennai and has always been curious about baking since her mid-teens. A Vice President of India awardee and a gold medalist in Hospitality and Hotel administration from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM), Chennai, she has always been urged by her curiosity to explore the field of food and beverage in-depth.
With a dream of starting her own venture, she chose to specialize in the domain of baking and pastry. In her quest for further knowledge, she took up the Diplôme de Pâtisserie from the Lavonne Academy of Baking Science and Pastry Arts in Bengaluru, India, and won the Excellence Award for having been one of the most consistent students of her batch. Her inquisitiveness towards pursuing beyond her comfort zone led her to take up an extensive 6-month internship where her skills in pastry arts and cake decoration were honed at the Lavonne Cake Studio.
Driven by the strong foundations laid by prestigious institutions and her innate passion to connect through food, her vision focuses on creating and nurturing the art everyday, giving back the learnings to the society through Thïm – An Art of Taste.
